AISTER Advances HS35 Patrol Boat Programme

Three HS35 patrol boats are entering the final stages of construction ahead of delivery to Spain’s Guardia Civil

Spanish shipbuilder AISTER is nearing completion of three new HS35 aluminium patrol boats for the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil, with the vessels scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026. The boats are being built for high-intensity interception and coastal surveillance missions, combining the speed and maneuverability of a fast-response craft with the seakeeping, stability and crew protection associated with a larger patrol vessel.

The programme marks a further expansion of AISTER’s work supplying purpose-built aluminium vessels for maritime security and law-enforcement operations.

The nearly 12-metre HS35 represents a new development within AISTER’s aluminium vessel range, moving beyond the traditional rigid inflatable boat (RIB) configuration.

Designed to combine the seakeeping characteristics of a larger vessel with the agility and responsiveness required for rapid-response operations, the HS35 has been developed as a platform for demanding maritime security missions.

The patrol boat features an enclosed ergonomic cabin with 360-degree perimeter visibility, providing crew protection while maintaining clear sightlines during complex manoeuvres.

The design also combines high manoeuvrability with structural stability, supporting interception and coastal surveillance missions where precise vessel control and rapid response are required.

Construction of the three HS35 patrol boats is now entering its final stages at AISTER’s shipyard, with delivery to the Guardia Civil expected before the end of 2026.

The programme adds to AISTER’s portfolio of aluminium vessels developed for tactical, patrol and maritime security applications, supporting the shipyard’s continued focus on specialised platforms for demanding operational environments.

The HS35 project also demonstrates AISTER’s approach to developing compact patrol vessels that combine speed, manoeuvrability, crew protection and operational capability within an aluminium platform.
