ASIS Delivers New Oil & Gas RHIBs to Saipem

ASIS Boats, a leading manufacture of high-performance Rigid Inflatable Boats (RHIBs), announce the successful delivery of a new custom-built 8-meter and 6.5-meter Oil and Gas RHIBs to Saipem, a leading international offshore operator. This delivery underscores a sustained and trusted partnership between the two companies and a shared commitment to operational excellence in the demanding offshore energy sector.

These RHIBs have been engineered to meet the rigorous demands of oil and gas platform operations, featuring extra-reinforced fiberglass hulls and our proprietary Hyb Foam® Hypalon tubes—designed for maximum durability, safety, and minimal maintenance.

Built for offshore reliability, the Oil and Gas RHIBs are equipped with single-point lifting systems paired with Henriksen safety release hooks for seamless launch and recovery, non-skid protective patches, high-visibility reflective tape, and front boarding systems for efficient personnel transfer.

Adhering to strict offshore safety regulations that restrict petrol engines, these vessels are powered by OXE diesel outboard engines. This aligns with industry best practices for operational safety in volatile environments

This delivery marks the continuation of their trusted relationship with Saipem following their previous acquisition of 8-meter RHIBs. These boats have been actively serving on offshore platforms, and their proven performance played a key role in Saipem’s decision to expand their ASIS fleet.

The new boats will be deployed to two destinations: some units will be delivered to the S300 crane vessel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while the others will be sent to Angola.
