Belfast Harbour Welcomes New State-of-the-Art Pilot Boat

Belfast Harbour has taken delivery of its new 15.2m pilot boat, marking a significant addition to its maritime operations. This state-of-the-art vessel is the first in a new series designed by Camarc, and constructed by Holyhead Marine.

The Camarc 15.2m features a refined hull specifically designed for pilot operations, the vessel offers enhanced comfort for crew members and improved fuel efficiency. Additionally, emissions are significantly reduced through the integration of advanced Tier III SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems.

Designed with a dedicated pilot configuration, the 15.2m vessel boasts an aft wheelhouse and a forward engine room, optimising the layout for pilotage tasks. The vessel is also equipped with the innovative Popsure fender system, providing added protection during operations, and a resilient wheelhouse designed to maximize crew comfort during challenging conditions.

This new pilot vessel represents Belfast Harbour’s commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility, setting a new standard for pilotage services in the region.
