Boluda Towage Completes Acquisition of Muller Dordrecht

Founded in 1918, Muller Dordrecht joins Boluda Towage with a fleet of 16 tugs, including seven offshore tugs, and eight barges

Boluda Towage has completed its acquisition of full ownership of Dutch maritime services company Muller Dordrecht, strengthening its offshore towage and specialist marine project capabilities as part of its continued international expansion.

The acquisition brings more than 100 years of maritime experience into the Boluda organisation, together with specialist vessels, technical expertise and established customer relationships across offshore towage, heavy transport and complex marine operations.

Following the transaction, Muller Dordrecht will operate under the name Boluda Muller Towage, focusing on offshore towage and specialised marine projects for customers worldwide. Its activities will continue alongside Boluda Towage Europe’s existing operations, benefiting from the resources, operational capabilities and international reach of the wider Boluda group.

Founded in 1918, Muller Dordrecht has built a strong reputation for delivering technically demanding maritime services, including offshore and coastal towage, heavy transport and complex marine projects.

The company operates a specialised fleet comprising 16 tugs, including seven offshore tugs, and eight barges. Its operations are supported by experienced personnel and long-standing relationships with customers across the maritime sector.

Vicente Boluda Ceballos, Executive Chairman of Boluda Towage, commented: “Muller has built an excellent reputation over more than a century and brings highly specialised offshore towage capabilities. The acquisition broadens the capabilities of the wider Boluda organisation and supports Muller’s focus on serving customers worldwide. Its specialist activities will continue alongside our existing European towage operations.”

“We believe this step will take our company to the next level and enable us to further strengthen our position in the offshore market. Together with Boluda Towage, we will continue to build on growth, capacity, and quality. Our goal remains the same: to serve our clients in the best possible way, with the people and equipment required to do so. We look to the future with full confidence: One course, combined strength,’’ said Bram Muller, former CEO and owner of Muller Dordrecht.
