CBED Acquires CSOV from Seaway7

The newly acquired CSOV becomes the fourth vessel in CBED’s fleet, strengthening its offshore wind support capabilities

CBED has expanded its offshore wind support fleet with the acquisition of the Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) Wind Dedication, formerly Seaway Moxie, from international offshore wind contractor Seaway7.

The vessel has already been delivered to CBED, becoming the fourth vessel in the company’s fleet alongside Wind Innovation, Wind Creation and Wind Evolution.

Following the acquisition, Wind Dedication will initially feature CBED branding and operate under its new name, with a full repaint into the company’s fleet livery scheduled for its next dry-docking survey.

Under the agreement, the vessel will be chartered back to Seaway7, allowing it to continue supporting existing offshore wind project commitments until early 2028.

Daniel Alon, General Manager, CBED: – “We are very pleased to be able to expand our fleet with a fourth vessel. Seaway Moxie – soon to be Wind Dedication – has a strong reputation in the market and is well-known for her high operational capabilities. We look forward to building on this track-record together with the crew and in close cooperation with Seaway7.

We have been looking to add a new vessel for some time, and Seaway Moxie’s high operational performance combined with her ability to work at significant wave heights up to three meters makes it a very good addition to our current fleet of walk-to-work vessels.”

Wind Dedication has room to accommodate up to 60 persons living comfortably onboard. The customised walk-to-work vessel has an Uptime motion compensated gangway and DP2 system, allowing for safe transfers to and from offshore installations in significant wave heights up to 3 meters.

The vessel also includes onboard offices and meeting rooms allowing for seamless operations, and offers onboard well-being facilities such as a fitness room, cinema and lounge area with TV and gaming facilities.
