Cemre Signed the Second Contract with Lie Gruppen

Cemre Shipyard signed a new contract with LieGruppen following the delivery of NB64 Libas to the company.

The Salt-designed new vessel is a 71 m long pelagic trawler with a 15 m width, will be classed by BV, and will carry the Norwegian flag.

This eco-friendly vessel will be the world’s first fishing vessel that is equipped with the new retractable bow foil technology from Wavefoil. Bow foils will be installed to the bow and will contribute considerably to reduce motions and energy consumption in waves and results in low fuel consumption and emissions while increasing the safety and comfort of the crew on board. Moreover, this technology enables the vessel to maintain higher speeds even in rough sea conditions.

The new hybrid trawler will be equipped with a battery pack and electric winches.

As Cemre Shipyard, we feel proud and happy in this atmosphere. It is a great pleasure and honor to work with a trend-setter company in Norway, Lie Gruppen, and a long-time and beloved business partner Salt Ship Design.
