Coastal Workboats Latest Landing Utility Vessel Hits The Water

Coastal Workboats marked another significant milestone this weekend as they launched the latest vessel to emerge from the workshop floor at their Devon yard. ‘Hull 108’ is built to the the tried and tested Damen LUV2208 design already in active service around our coasts. A highly versatile Workboat, the LUV (Landing Utility Vessel) offers unparalleled flexibility, particularly for our customers operating in unpredictable conditions and challenging locations, such as the aquaculture market.

‘Hull 108’ features a new bow-ramp design which has been refined with close engagement with existing customers and partners. Designed around a bi-fold extension format, the new ramp affords greater flexibility and versatility at end application – particularly for customers operating at shore facilities with varying degrees of infrastructure and access.

With configurable completion options, the LUV2208 redefines workboat flexibility.

‘Hull 108’ is one of three similar vessels nearing completion at their Devon base. With a variety of configurable deck options including custom lifting packages and bespoke finishings, the LUV2208 redefines flexibility.
