CoCo Yachts Wins Contract for Two High-Speed Ferries for Zanzibar Shipping

CoCo Yachts’ Coastal Cruisers 650 will deliver safe, efficient, and comfortable inter-island travel for Zanzibar.

CoCo Yachts, an innovator in high-speed vessel design, has been awarded a contract to for two state-of-the-art fast ferries for Zanzibar Shipping Corporation. The Coastal Cruisers 650 are currently under construction at Synergy Shipbuilders in Mumbai, India, and are set to significantly enhance maritime connectivity across the Zanzibar Archipelago.

Designed for passenger safety, comfort, and operational efficiency, these ferries are powered by twin Rolls-Royce MTU 20V4000 M65L engines coupled with Kongsberg Kamewa S80-4 waterjets, providing exceptional speed, maneuverability, and reliability. Once in service, they will play a pivotal role in modernizing Zanzibar’s inter-island transport network.
