Diverse Marine delivers first Brevity SL Class CTV FARRA TUIREANN

Diverse Marine has delivered FARRA TUIREANN, the first vessel in its new Brevity SL Class of crew transfer vessels (CTVs), marking a significant milestone in the company’s Finance & Lease Programme.

Delivered to Farra Marine as Stock Build 8, FARRA TUIREANN has been developed to provide offshore wind operators with immediate access to a next-generation, high-performance CTV, reducing lead times while supporting the growing demands of offshore wind construction, operations and maintenance.

Designed by Chartwell Marine and built by Diverse Marine, the 26-metre Brevity SL Class has been developed to meet the evolving requirements of the offshore wind sector, combining high-performance crew transfer capability with improved fuel efficiency, seakeeping and operational flexibility.

FARRA TUIREANN measures 26 metres overall length while remaining below the 23.9-metre load line length threshold. The vessel is powered by four IMO Tier III Volvo Penta IPS propulsion units and incorporates Hull Vane® transom foil technology to reduce fuel consumption, improve ride comfort and enhance transfer performance in demanding offshore environments. The vessel is also equipped with a Hercules AAW-150 anchor winch, a TMP 900XL deck crane and a Buoyant Works fenders, with the electrical installation completed by Boat Electrics & Electronics, further enhancing its operational capability for offshore wind crew transfer operations.

The vessel represents the latest evolution of the Brevity range, building on Diverse Marine’s focus on delivering readily available, modern CTVs that can enter service without the lead times typically associated with newbuild programmes.
