Evoy Vita Next-Gen 120+ HP Breeze Electric Inboard System Launched

Evoy Vita, a specialist in marine electric propulsion, announce the launch of its second-generation Evoy Breeze 120+ hp electric inboard system, represents a significant leap forward in high-output electric propulsion for a broad range of vessels from 15 to 50 feet. The new Breeze 120+ hp G2 combines Evoy’s refined inboard architecture with a battery pack developed by Taiga, a leader in high-performance electric powersports vehicles.

The battery is manufactured in Taiga’s Montreal plant and based on technology already proven in over 1,500 jet skis and snowmobiles operating worldwide. The result is a lighter, more powerful, and faster-charging system with extended sustained performance under demanding marine conditions.

“This new generation represents more than an update — it’s a leap,” says Leif A. Stavøstrand, CEO of Evoy Vita and Co-Founder of Evoy. “By integrating a battery platform with real-world endurance and experience from thousands of units, we’ve created an inboard system that offers longer peak performance, faster turnaround, and lower total cost — while keeping the rugged dependability and connectivity our customers rely on.”

At the heart of Evoy Vita Inboard Breeze G2 is a compact 90 kW continuous / 137 kW peak inboard motor (equivalent to 120 and 185 hp) with enhanced liquid cooling and IP66 marine protection. The system maintains peak output longer than its predecessor, improving both acceleration and sustained speed in planing boats.

The propulsion system pairs with twin 24 kWh Taiga NMC battery packs delivering 48 kWh usable energy, certified to CE, UN38.3, and IP67 standards. With charging compatibility for CCS Type 1 & 2 DC fast chargers (US and EU), the system can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, setting a new benchmark for efficiency in its class.

“Our goal for Breeze G2 was clear — keep what works, and push everything else forward,” says Pete McKinlay, CTO of Evoy Vita. “We focused heavily on reducing system cost, improving reliability, and making integration as simple as possible for boatbuilders. By optimizing the cooling system, refining the control logic for longer sustained peak power, and integrating a proven high-performance battery platform, we’ve created the most efficient and serviceable 120+ hp electric inboard we’ve ever built.”

Designed for both commercial and recreational use, the Inboard Breeze G2 120+ hp system is engineered for heavy-duty operation, with advanced over-the-air diagnostics and software updates.

The system is also retrofit-ready and can be integrated into existing hulls. Its modular design where most components are integrated around the motor skid supports fast installation, minimal maintenance, and long lifecycle operation — key factors for professional operators and OEM boatbuilders.

With the dual 24 kWh setup, boaters can expect 20 – 40 nautical miles of range at planing speed, 8–12 hours at 5 knots, and over 24 hours at low displacement speed (depending on the weight of the boat, hull design and conditions). Larger configurations up to 96 kWh are available for extended range applications.
