Global Workboat Marketplace Launches With No-Commission Model

Workboat marketplace connects owners, brokers and charterers across offshore and inland sectors

Vessel4You has been developed to connect vessel owners, brokers and charterers on a single platform. The online workboat marketplace is designed specifically for the maritime and offshore construction industry and covers all workboat classes.

“The site covers operations worldwide — not just open seas and coastal waters, but inland waterways, rivers and lakes too,” explained Vessel4You’s Einne Beatty. “Anyone needing a maritime vessel, whether it’s a tug for a jack-up tow, a hopper barge to move a load of sand or a dive support vessel for a subsea project, can simply search what’s available by vessel type, location and availability in real time.”

No costly delays

And he explained that a mechanical fault on a vessel can bring an entire project to a standstill and sourcing replacement parts can take days or weeks, all of which has an enormous cost.

“Until now, finding an alternative vessel meant working the phones, chasing contacts and hoping someone in your network knew of something available nearby,” explained Einne.

“Vessel4You changes that. The workboat marketplace allows charterers and construction companies to instantly search for readily available vessels within a set radius of their project location, giving them the ability to react quickly and keep operations moving when things don’t go to plan.”

Fair bidding system

The platform is suitable for finding replacement vessels quickly when breakdowns or delays occur as well as sourcing vessels for short-term or one-off jobs.

Vesesl owners are able to list their vessels with full specifications and availability and also post a private bid on posted jobs and charter requests.

“We’ve devised a fair bidding system, not a race to the bottom,” explained Einne. “Other vessel owners cannot see what anyone else has bid. Only the person who advertised the job can view the bids they receive.”

He added: “For owners and operators, Vessel4You gives greater visibility across the global market.

“The ability to plan ahead and fill gaps between contracts can make the difference between a vessel earning and a vessel sitting idle.”

Free access for first 500 users

Vessel4You offers a a no-commission, fixed monthly fee platform to search, list and hire workboats — reducing costly downtime and keeping projects on schedule.

Charterers and project managers connect directly with vessel owners with no middlemen or additional fees.
