Inland and Coastal Marina Systems’ projects span from leisure marina pontoons to commercial concrete breakwaters and crew transfer vessel berths, supporting the offshore and renewables sector. The state-of-the-art, bespoke systems are designed to enable vessels of all shapes and sizes to moor safely and securely

With over 20 years’ experience, we understand the physical, environmental and commercial challenges operating a busy marina, harbour location or water-sport leisure facility, and agree that safe access is the starting point to a well-run operation. Experienced in working on projects with multiple stakeholders, clients include local and regional government, port and fishery authorities, marina operators, sports and recreational clubs, development consortiums, consulting engineers, architects and main contractors

Whether it’s designing durable pontoon and gangway systems, non-slip pontoon decking or innovative access solutions, safety remains at the forefront of our considerations. We understand that even the smallest detail can make a significant difference in preventing accidents and always ensuring peace of mind.To uphold this commitment, we work together with marina professionals, leveraging their expertise and insights to identify potential hazards and develop effective solutions to address them.

Ensuring safe and efficient water access is crucial for any marina facility, be it a rowing club, marina or private dock. We also know that change and improvement takes time to plan and organise.

If you’re considering expanding, installing or upgrading your water access infrastructure, talk to us. We specialise in listening and understanding your needs and helping you find the right outcome for the future.

Heavy Duty Pontoons

Our heavy duty pontoons are designed to accommodate the berthing of larger vessels in marinas, yacht harbours and ports, and are used extensively throughout the commercial marine industry in semi-sheltered sites.

Primarily used as by harbour boards, pilot and fishing vessels, ferry operators or for general commercial traffic, our heavy duty pontoons are also used for the berthing of larger leisure vessels.

When using a double fender, freeboard heights from 500mm to 1200mm can be accommodated, making the pontoon suitable for berthing vessels of any shape and size.

Concrete Breakwater Units

Our concrete breakwaters, manufactured in house, are designed to attenuate waves to an acceptable level so that sheltered berthing can be provided where a fixed breakwater is not feasible.

Manufactured from grade C50/60 reinforced concrete with internal polystyrene blocks, the breakwaters also offer a berthing facility for boats in exposed conditions.

We pay particular attention to the lifespan of our units, given the severe environments they function in, and offer galvanised reinforcing steel as standard and a glass fibre reinforced concrete skin to the base of the floatation blocks.

Service Pontoons

We have the in-house expertise to provide innovative design solutions for client’s who require special services on their pontoon.

We will work closely with customers to understand the specification so that we can recommend a suitable pontoon type (Leisure, Heavy Duty, Continuous Concrete or Breakwater) and design the bespoke features so that the pontoon can function as required. Examples of service pontoons include swimming pools, pump out pontoons and toilet and shower blocks.
