Kongsberg Kamewa waterjets will be used on four 17m Finnish Navy supply vessels. The contract is a result of long and close co-operation with vessel builder Kewatec AluBoat and has the option for five additional vessels.
Ideally suited to shallow waters, Kongsberg Kamewa Steel series waterjets are made in Finland and chosen by navies worldwide to deliver the maneuverability and durability necessary for mission critical tasks. The new vessels will be used to transport troops and equipment in the Finnish archipelago, with waterjet control from KONGSBERG’s new Jet Control System (JCS) – Extended, which has been designed for advanced craft operability, ease of use and reliability.“
