Northern Offshore Services Acquires Service Operation Vessel “Mistral Enabler”

Northern Offshore Services, a provider of offshore support vessels, has announced its entry into a new segment with the acquisition of the Service Operation Vessel “Mistral Enabler” from Edda Wind. The vessel, which will be renamed Northern Ocean, marks Northern Offshore Services strategic expansion into the offshore wind sector.

The acquisition was made through a new holding company, established in partnership with Rederi AB Älvtank, a Swedish shipping company with a strong track record in maritime operations.

This purpose-built vessel is designed to provide safe and easy access for wind farm personnel and technicians, with high-standard, comfortable accommodations at sea. Adding this SOV to their fleet enhances their ability to support offshore operations and strengthens their commitment to deliver reliable, high-performing, and efficient solutions to the offshore wind industry.

“We’re entering a new segment, but with our previous SOV experience, we’re confident in our ability to support our operations. This Northern Ocean will significantly improve comfort and work efficiency for our crew and customers,” said David Kristensson, CEO of Northern Offshore Group
