Rodman delivers the first of the three Rodman 66 Patrol Boats to the Spanish Navy

The Spanish Navy has just taken delivery of a new Rodman 66 model coastal surveillance patrol boat. The 21m long vessel, which can reach a top speed of 32 knots, has a crew capacity of 16 people. The boat is equipped with two 1380 CV engines and can hold up to 6,000 L of fuel, providing it with a range of 500 miles at economic speed.

This latest delivery from Rodman Polyships SAU is similar to previous Rodman 66 models that have been supplied to the Spanish Navy. The company ensured that all the technical and functional requirements demanded by the Spanish Navy were incorporated into the design to guarantee efficiency and effectiveness of the boat in its intended use.

The new patrol boat will have its base port in Melilla and will be integrated into the Maritime Action Force, under the command of the Units dependent on Cartagena (Comarcart). During the official tests and delivery ceremony, representatives from the Spanish Navy expressed their satisfaction with the vessel and its features.

The Rodman 66 model is built according to the demanding PECAL/AQAP 2110 certification, which includes NATO requirements for quality assurance in the construction of vessels for the Defense sector. Therefore, the design and construction of this vessel was carried out in accordance with these established procedures and quality standards.

The delivery of this new patrol boat cements Rodman’s position as one of the leading shipyards in the world when it comes to the construction of professional GRP vessels. All boats, whether intended for use by governments or individuals, are highly valued by their owners and organizations across the globe.
