SAFE Boats Secures $36.4 Million Patrol Vessel Agreement

Five-year agreement will support US Foreign Military Sales programmes, with initial patrol vessel deliveries to four Caribbean nations scheduled from 2027

SAFE Boats International has been awarded a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) valued at up to $36.4 million to supply patrol vessels and associated support services for U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) Foreign Military Sales programmes.

The agreement provides for the procurement of up to 28 SAFE 3810 Full Cabin Outboard patrol vessels, together with spare parts, training, field service support and associated equipment.

The award will support US defence and security cooperation initiatives, strengthening maritime capabilities among partner nations throughout the Western Hemisphere.

With production starting in 2027, the first vessels will be delivered to the Dominican Republic, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Suriname, supporting efforts to enhance coastal patrol, maritime law enforcement, counternarcotics operations, and regional security.

Beyond vessel delivery, the SOUTHCOM BPA includes comprehensive logistical and technical support designed to sustain long-term operational readiness. The agreement encompasses spare parts, operator training, Ford F-350 support vehicles, and a dedicated field service technician based in the Dominican Republic. This integrated approach reflects SAFE Boats’ commitment to supporting customers throughout the vessel lifecycle, ensuring partner nations have the equipment, expertise, and resources needed to maintain their maritime capabilities.

“This award represents an important milestone for SAFE Boats and an opportunity to further strengthen maritime security partnerships throughout the region,” said Rob Goley, Chief Customer and Revenue Officer at SAFE Boats International. “We’re proud to support these nations with proven American-built vessels, backed by the training, technical expertise, and long-term service needed to keep their fleets operating at their best. As a 100% employee-owned company, our team takes tremendous pride in the role our boats play in protecting those who serve and the communities they safeguard.”

The agreement will introduce the latest evolution of SAFE Boats’ 3810 Full Cabin Outboard, a 38 foot-class patrol vessel engineered for demanding military and maritime law enforcement operations.

Featuring a newly developed cabin configuration, the updated 3810 represents SAFE Boats’ continued investment in product innovation and its commitment to advancing proven vessel platforms to meet evolving operational requirements.

Built on SAFE Boats’ proven aluminum hull design and featuring the company’s exclusive 100% foam-filled collar system, the 3810 combines durability, crew protection, and operational versatility in a high-performance platform. The new cabin configuration further demonstrates the company’s customer-driven approach to engineering, incorporating improvements informed by real-world operational experience and the needs of today’s maritime professionals.
