Servogear Powers New Mainprize CTVs

Strategic Marine’s latest Mainprize CTV newbuilds will feature Servogear’s controllable pitch propeller technology

Norwegian propulsion specialist Servogear has been selected to supply Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) systems for two new 33-metre Supa Swath crew transfer vessels (CTVs) being built by Strategic Marine for offshore wind operator Mainprize Offshore.

Scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2027, the Walker Marine Designed vessels are designed to support offshore wind operations across Europe, offering increased passenger capacity and extended operational range to meet growing industry requirements.

The latest contract further strengthens Servogear’s long-standing relationship with Mainprize Offshore and builds on its established presence in the offshore wind sector. The company previously supplied CPP systems for Mainprize’s MO9, MO10 and MO11 vessels, which are currently operating in European offshore wind projects.

“We look forward to delivering systems that give these vessels the speed, thrust and efficiency the offshore wind market demands,” said Sales Manager Bjørn Svendsen.

Anita Alsaker, Managing Director Servogear said, “the contract supports Servogear’s strategy to deliver efficient and reliable propulsion solutions for offshore vessels.”
