Two Sirius designed 144.7m Construction Support Vessels to be built by Fujian Mawei Shipyard, with options for two additional vessels
Sirius Design & Integration has secured a contract to design two large Construction Support Vessels (CSVs) to be built at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China, strengthening the Norwegian company’s position in the energy-sector vessel market.
The contract covers two firm vessels, with options for two additional vessels. The customer has not been disclosed.
The vessels have been developed in close cooperation with the customer, described as a leading player in the energy sector, and are based on Sirius Design & Integration’s established CSV design platform.
Designed for demanding offshore operations, the vessels will combine operational flexibility with energy-efficient and future-ready solutions, allowing them to be adapted to a range of mission requirements.
Under the contract, Sirius will provide the conceptual design and complete basic design package for the vessels.
Each CSV will measure 144.7 metres in length and 27 metres in beam. The vessels will be equipped with two large offshore cranes and two Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) to support ROV operations.
The design will also incorporate preparations for the installation of a carousel, VLS and other mission-specific equipment, providing flexibility for future offshore construction and subsea operations.
