TEXO, the leading engineering, fabrication, asset management and survey company, is delighted to announce that TEXO Engineering and Fabrication has been awarded a multi-million-pound fabrication contract from SAIPEM in support of the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG)(jointly owned by EDF Renewables and ESB renewable) Offshore Wind Farm energy project. TEXO will fabricate temporary steel structures at two of their sites in Blyth and Dundee; the structures will be deployed by SAIPEM vessels to assist with the installation of the pin-piles at all locations across the field.
The company will project manage a large and demanding manufacturing schedule, utilising all of TEXO’s services and facilities, delivering the ‘one-team’ approach that TEXO has built into its recent company restructure.

The NnG offshore wind farm, jointly owned by EDF Renewables and ESB, is sited approximately 15km off the east coast of Scotland, will be deployed over an area of 105 km2 and will be capable of generating around 450 megawatts of electricity – enough to power around 375,000 homes. The operator expects the wind farm to offset over 400,000 tonnes of Co2 emissions each year.
