Two ASIS Police Boats to go into service with the “Affaires Maritimes Ivoiriennes”

The “Affaires Maritimes et Portuaires Ivoiriennes”, French for Ivorian Maritime and Port Affairs is the central Maritime Law Enforcement agency of the Ivory Coast, they are responsible for safeguarding the ports, rivers, and coasts of the country.

They reached out to us with their inquiry and requested a Police Boat that will allow them to perform various tasks related not only to protecting the coastal borders and the ports but also intervene rapidly in search and rescue missions along the rivers of the tropical country where flooding is a constant hazard.

Here at ASIS, we provide advanced maritime solutions, and turn ideas into reality and complicated missions into simple tasks. Each RHIB we make is built specifically for the owner, organization, or agency that ordered it, and each has unique needs, applications, and requirements.

Our team worked hard, from design to finish, to ensure that each Police Boat will not only meet but will exceed the Ivorian Maritime and Port Affairs’ expectations in terms of durability, manoeuvrability, and versatility. The two 7.6 meters long rigid inflatable boats were built using a Marine Grade Aluminum Hull and Deck, coupled with a protective Orca Hypalon 1670 Dtex collar keeping the boats steady and allowing for a smoother ride. These boats were equipped with:

  • 2 x Ullman Biscaya Jockey Suspension Seats (For Pilot & Co-Pilot).
  • 2 x Triple Jockey Seats.
  • Black Painted Heavy Duty ASIS T-Top.
  • Non-Skid Deck Flooring.
  • Telescopic Tow Post.
  • Front Boarding Platform with Rail.
  • Diving Notches.

The Ullman Biscaya seat is designed to protect the pilot and co-pilot of high-speed crafts from injury. The seat’s shape is designed to optimize the body posture while the Semi-Active Progressive Shock Mitigation System Takes care of the high forces during impact. Each of these two Rigid Inflatable Boats have been fitted with two 350 liters Marine Grade Aluminum fuel tanks for a total capacity of 700 liters offering a comfortable operational range of up to 10 continuous hours.

As these boats will be operating in various geographical locations and for prolonged hours, we have fitted them with cutting-edge navigation and communication systems including:

  • Multifunctional Display Chart Plotter.
  • Wifi Connectivity.
  • In-Hull Transducer.
  • Bluechart G2 Vision.
  • Night vision cameras.
  • Garmin® 115i VHF Radio with Antenna.
  • Garmin® GMR 18HD+ Marine Radar Scanner.
  • Garmin® GPSMAP 923XSV 9’’ with Sonar Combo.
