Volvo Penta announce the launch of its latest Aquamatic DPI propulsion package, featuring the powerful D6-480 DPI engine. Delivering more horsepower, greater installation flexibility, and a fully integrated boating experience.
The D6-480 DPI offers the highest output ever in the Aquamatic range, giving boaters enhanced performance across a wide variety of vessel types. Combined with the new Volvo Penta Autopilot, the system elevates electronic boat steering and joystick functionality to unprecedented levels of precision and ease of use. Volvo Penta’s new D6 480 DPI package features the company’s fully integrated helm-to-propeller system. This system harmonizes signature Volvo Penta features, such as Joystick Driving, Assisted Docking and Autopilot, all of which are accessible via the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit System. Together, these features deliver the type of intuitive technology expected in a modern automobile, enhancing precision and control during docking, enabling longer and more comfortable cruises and reducing stress during tight turns.
Rapid acceleration, unique marine torque and high responsiveness make the new package ideal for applications that require speed on the water – which in turn, can contribute to improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. In addition, Volvo Penta Duoprop technology provides outstanding grip, enabling the ability to make tight turns at speed, a crucial feature in many high-speed applications. The new Aquamatic package features a sterndrive configuration, providing an open transom with extra space at the aft.
