Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a contract by South Red Sea Shipyard (SRSS) to supply the power systems for ten new tugboats for the Suez Canal Authorities (SCA). These state-of-the-art vessels will be equipped with two robust and reliable ABC 12DZC engines each, and they will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth passage of ships through the Suez Canal.
South Red Sea Shipyard has selected ABC to provide the essential engines for the upcoming fleet of ten tugboats of the Suez Canal Authorities. These tugboats will be proudly constructed by South Red Sea Shipyard in Egypt, promoting the “Made in Egypt” label.
Jean-Christophe Van Acker, Sales Manager at ABC, stated: “We are deeply honoured to have been selected as the trusted partner for this prestigious project. With our high-quality partners and a longstanding history of collaboration with the Suez Canal Authorities, we are fully committed to delivering top-notch engines that not only meet but exceed the industry’s highest standards.”
In the tugboat industry, factors such as reliability, efficiency, safety, bollard pull, and manoeuvrability are of paramount importance, and ABC’s medium-speed engines have long been recognized as the preferred choice for various types of tugs. ABC’s recent contract win with SRSS underscores its unwavering dedication to providing high-quality engines for the maritime sector.
