AISTER to Deliver Two High-Performance Pilot Boats to Central America

AISTER continues to strengthen its international presence with the announcement of a new contract to design and build two aluminium MZ12 PILOT Boats for a Central American client, scheduled for delivery in 2026.

This latest project underscores global confidence in AISTER’s expertise in aluminium shipbuilding and its reputation for delivering high-performance, reliable, and safe vessels tailored for pilotage services, where precision and dependability are essential.

The 12-metre Aister MZ12 PILOT boats, with a 4-metre beam, feature a deep-V aluminium monohull designed for excellent manoeuvrability and stability in both port and coastal operations. Powered by twin 350 HP marine diesel engines, they reach speeds over 24 knots, ensuring reliable and efficient daily performance.

Built with the crew’s comfort and protection in mind, each vessel’s aluminium cabin includes ergonomic suspension seating for the pilot, co-pilot, and six crew members. A large glazed area offers 360-degree visibility, which is crucial during manoeuvres to approach large vessels, while noise and vibration insulation and air conditioning create a safe and comfortable working environment.

The pilot boats are also equipped with state-of-the-art communication, navigation, and safety systems, meeting international standards for pilot transfer operations.

This new project marks another step forward in AISTER’s international growth, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, quality craftsmanship, and customised solutions that meet the specific needs of clients worldwide.
