Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) proudly announces a repeat order from Agalas for its third offshore vessel, further strengthening the trusted partnership between the two companies. This latest order underscores the success of previous projects and highlights ABC’s commitment to sustainable and innovative propulsion solutions. Like its predecessors, the new vessel will be built at Sefine Shipyard in Turkey and will feature an advanced engine-electric propulsion system powered by ABC methanol dual-fuel engines.
“We are grateful to Agalas for their continued trust in ABC’s technology,” says Are Davidsen, Head of Sales ABC Engines Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Faroe Islands at Frydenbø Industry AS. “This repeat order highlights the proven reliability and efficiency of our methanol dual-fuel engines in offshore applications. With our expertise in medium-speed dual-fuel technology, we support operators in reducing emissions while maintaining performance and operational flexibility.”
ABC’s methanol dual-fuel engines offer high efficiency and robust fuel flexibility, allowing operators to run on both methanol and conventional fuels, providing seamless adaptability to evolving environmental regulations. By combining fuel efficiency with reduced emissions, these engines support the offshore sector’s shift towards greener operations without compromising reliability.
Mats Nygaard Johnsen, CEO of Agalas, adds: “ABC has been a key partner in our fleet expansion, providing advanced power solutions that align with our operational and sustainability objectives. We are pleased to continue this collaboration as we further enhance our offshore capabilities.”
The new offshore vessel is designed by NSK Ship Design in Harstad and will be a Construction Support Vessel (CSV) with a length of 99.9 meters and a width of 21 meters. The ship will be equipped with a 150-ton wave-compensated crane and have a deck area of 900 square meters. The Western Norway-based shipping company Eidesvik will co-own the vessel together with Reach Subsea, which will also be the charterer. The ship is being built at Sefine Shipyard in Istanbul and is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027.
With its third offshore vessel order, Agalas reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainable operations. Anglo Belgian Corporation is proud to support this expansion with cutting-edge engine technology, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and future-proofed power solutions for the offshore industry.
