Brimmond Partners With Proserv to Launch Middle East Division

North-east Scotland based engineering specialists, Brimmond, are proud to announce the establishment of their new Middle East business division, with the launch of a branch subsidiary based in Dubai. Partnering with Proserv and strategically located in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), this expansion marks a significant milestone in Brimmond’s international growth, enabling the business to better serve clients across the region.

As part of this initiative, Brimmond is partnering with Proserv, a respected and well-established controls technology company with operational facilities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The collaboration will combine Brimmond’s engineering expertise with Proserv’s strong regional presence to deliver enhanced support and solutions to customers throughout the Middle East.

Brimmond is on target to mobilise equipment with a value in excess of £1m, along with an extensive spares and support package, for rental across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The firm has designed and manufactured 4 brand new 93kW Diesel Hydraulic Pressure Units (HPUs) at their custom-built facility in Aberdeenshire expressly for the new division. They will also be shipping Zone 1 45kW Electric HPUs and Zone 2 Diesel HPUs. It is anticipated that the first units will be available for rental in the Middle East from July this year.

Underscoring their commitment to investing in the region, Brimmond have established a business and physical office in Dubai’s Dubai Multi Commodities Centre free zone. Currently one member of staff will be employed from there, with plans to grow this team locally over the next 3 years. Brimmond’s rental and technical teams in the UK will be closely involved in the roll-out of the new division, as will the company’s directors.

Brimmond and Proserv have a near 20-year track record of working together, with both businesses sharing a common commitment to the highest standards of quality and attention to detail, as well as a positive people-focused culture. Proserv will work in partnership with Brimmond to leverage their established network in the region, forging new customer relationships.

Managing Director of Brimmond, Tom Murdoch said, “This is one of the most exciting times for Brimmond in our near 30-year history – we are thrilled to be expanding our global footprint and partnering with such a leading brand in the energy sector as Proserv. Following a period of sustained growth in the UK, we now have capacity in the business to deliver on our plans in the Middle East. Combined with our diversification into new sectors such as renewables, defence and aquaculture, this move is a pivotal component of our growth strategy.

“Brimmond’s reputation is built on the reliability and performance of its equipment, and this same standard will be applied to the Middle East market. In the last calendar year alone, our rental fleet recorded 5,621 days of major equipment on hire, with only 16 days of unplanned downtime – delivering an exceptional uptime rate of 99.72%. This level of dependability ensures our clients can count on Brimmond’s equipment to perform in even the most demanding environments, reducing operational risk and maximising efficiency across their projects.”

“In Scotland we are very firmly rooted in the community in which we live and work, and we are committed to transferring that ethos across our Middle East business. It’s important to us to invest in the region and become a valued part of the supply chain, by preserving our reputation for products and services of the highest build quality and reliability. We’re equally passionate about preserving our culture that puts people at the heart of everything we do. Both Brimmond and Proserv are extremely well aligned on all of these fronts, and we genuinely believe that together we can offer an enhanced level of product and service to the customer base in the region. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

Angus Rodger, Senior Vice President, Proserv said, “We are thrilled to partner with Brimmond in this exciting new venture, bringing their innovative engineering solutions to the Middle East market. This collaboration reflects the strong, trusted relationship our two companies have built over nearly two decades. By combining Brimmond’s exceptional manufacturing expertise with Proserv’s deep regional knowledge and operational footprint, we are confident in our ability to deliver unrivalled value and support to customers across the region. This partnership underscores our mutual commitment to delivering excellence and driving innovation in even the most challenging environments.”
