Cheoy Lee Shipyards has bid farewell to two state-of-the-art RAstar 3200-CL tugs, CMM Azteca and CMM Mexico, as they embark on a voyage from Hong Kong to Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. The vessels will join Compañía Marítima Mexicana, an affiliate of Boluda Towage, bolstering Mexico’s port operations with advanced tugboat technology.
These two tugs are the latest deliveries in the very successful Robert Allan Ltd designed RAstar 3200-CL series, which Cheoy Lee has been building since 2013. In these 12 years Cheoy Lee has built and delivered 29 tugs to this design, finding homes for all of them in ports far and wide. The successful approach of applying customisation and offering flexible equipment selections for each hull has enabled a multitude of Owners and operators to find the perfect fit for their specific operations and operating areas, and today you can find one of these hulls operating on almost every continent.
