Enersea, in collaboration with Subsea Cable Assets and MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions, have been awarded a significant contract for the complete engineering and delivery of a cable installation deck spread for the Cable-Laying Vessel (CLV) Altera, commissioned by the N-Sea Group.
The scope includes the design and integration of:
• a 4,500-tonne carousel,
• a loading tower with integrated tensioner,
• a 15-tonne track deck tensioner,
• a quadrant handling system,
• cable highways, sliding banks, winches, and a retractable cable chute.
Enersea is responsible for the engineering, layout optimisation, and functional integration of the entire deck spread, drawing on its specialist knowledge in subsea cable installation and deck configuration. In addition, Enersea will serve as the technical liaison during the engineering phase, coordinating design activities and supporting N-Sea as the main point of contact for all engineering matters.
The consortium approach was initiated by Enersea, building on an established and trusted collaboration with Subsea Cable Assets, and bringing in MacArtney Offshore Wind Solutions for its strong reputation and capabilities in offshore mission equipment. Together, the group forms an integrated team with complementary expertise in fabrication, controls, equipment, and engineering.
The system is scheduled for delivery and mobilisation to N-Sea’s CLV Altera in Q1 2026 and marks an important step in Enersea’s involvement in complete deck spread solutions for the offshore wind industry.
Currently under construction in Poland, the vessel will transfer to Neptune Marine in the Netherlands in Q4 2025 for final outfitting and commissioning in Q2 2026,
