Dixstone Takes Delivery Of Third OSV ‘Men Skey’ From Holland Shipyards

Delivery of shallow-draft OSV Men Skey, strengthens Dixstone’s nearshore support capabilities

Holland Shipyards Group has announced the successful delivery of Men Skey, the third and final Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) in a series of three built for Dixstone, marking the completion of the offshore newbuild programme.

Following the earlier deliveries of Men Cren and Men Goe in 2025, both of which are currently operating along the coast of West Africa, Men Skey will soon join its sister vessels to further strengthen Dixstone’s offshore support activities in the region.

The three multipurpose vessels have been designed with a shallow draft of 3.5m, enabling efficient operations in nearshore and shallow water environments. Measuring 52m in length with a beam of 15m, the vessels provide a versatile and robust platform suited to a range of offshore support tasks in challenging conditions.

The Men Skey Offshore Support Vessel features:

  • A 73-ton bollard pull
  • DP0 station-keeping capability
  • A 420 m² working deck with 10 t/m² deck strength
  • 1000-metre towing wire and hydraulic shark jaw system
  • FiFi system with two monitors
  • Accommodation for up to 14 persons
  • HVAC systems designed for tropical climates
  • A hybrid propulsion configuration including two main engines, a bow jet thruster and a central electrically driven azimuth thruster

The series underlines Holland Shipyards Group’s capability to design and deliver practical, purpose-built vessels tailored to specific operational requirements. The company highlighted that the successful execution of the programme within a relatively short timeframe was driven by close cooperation, transparency and strong alignment between all stakeholders.

Holland Shipyards Group expressed its appreciation to Dixstone for its trust and collaboration throughout the project, noting that the partnership was instrumental in achieving the timely delivery of all three vessels.

With Men Cren, Men Goe and Men Skey set to operate as a unified fleet in West Africa, the vessels are expected to support Dixstone’s continued expansion in offshore marine services.
