Last week PSW Power & Automation successfully completed the delivery of our first CQ DC charging system in Sweden. They were awarded the turnkey contract for civil work, electric infrastructure, CQ DC charger and shore to vessel charging tower the middle of 2022.
This is an incredibly short timeframe for a solution like this and shows the great effort and dedication our team has put in to support the high-speed vessel electrification. The system will ensure safe power transfer for shore to onboard batteries.
Until now the vessel has operated as a diesel hybrid. Our first of a kind DC fast charging solution will ensure that the vessel will bring passengers between Strømstad and the Koster Islands as a zero-emission high-speed vessel.
Espen-Andrè Woldseth, project manager, had a review of the solution together with Jörn Skamdal from the consultancy company ELK and Håkan Eriksson, CEO in Kostermarin and they were very happy to have this fast-charging solution in place.
