New Robert Allan Ltd. designed RAmparts 4300 ASD tug to deliver approximately 92 tonnes of bollard pull for coastal towing, offshore support and anchor-handling duties
Robert Allan Ltd. has secured a contract to design a new RAmparts 4300 ASD tug for Guangzhou Port, China, marking the first Robert Allan Ltd.-designed tug to join the port’s fleet.
The vessel will be built by Lianyungang Hongyun Industrial Co, with delivery scheduled for May 2028.
Designed for the demanding operational requirements of one of China’s busiest ports, the RAmparts 4300 will combine high towing performance with the versatility required for a range of coastal and offshore duties.
The ASD tug is expected to deliver approximately 92 tonnes of bollard pull, supporting Guangzhou Port’s requirements for coastal towing, offshore oilfield support and occasional anchor-handling operations.
The vessel will be designed to provide the safety, reliability and operational efficiency required for sustained service across a broad range of marine applications.
The RAmparts series has established an international reputation for combining robust towing capability, operational flexibility and proven seaworthiness.
