Inch Cape Adds Two Newbuild Mainprize Offshore CTVs to Fleet

Designed by Walker Marine Design and built by Strategic Marine, the CTVs are expected to add around 26 operational days annually.

Two newbuild Supa Swath crew transfer vessels (CTVs) from UK marine contractor Mainprize Offshore have joined the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm fleet under a long-term charter supporting both construction and operations activities at the Scottish project.

The twin vessels, MO12 and MO14, will operate from the Port of Montrose, transporting engineers and technicians to the offshore site during the construction phase before transitioning into operations and maintenance support under a five-year agreement.

Each 26-metre CTV can accommodate up to 24 passengers and will be crewed by locally based personnel comprising a master, engineer and deckhand.

Designed by UK naval architecture firm Walker Marine Design and built by Singapore shipbuilder Strategic Marine, the vessels deliver a bollard push of 21 tonnes, enabling the safe transfer of personnel in significant wave heights of up to two metres.

The enhanced operability is expected to increase vessel availability for the project by approximately 26 additional days per year, improving offshore access and supporting more efficient project execution.
