New Damen Multicat C-Trojan Enters Service with Leask Marine

Leask Marine’s new Damen Multicat 3113 DP1 vessel strengthens capability for offshore and nearshore operations

Leask Marine Ltd has officially named its latest vessel, C-Trojan, marking the entry into service of a new Damen Multicat 3113 DP1 purpose-built workboat for demanding multipurpose operations.

The naming ceremony took place last week in Kirkwall, Orkney, where tradition replaced convention. Rather than champagne, the bottle broken across the bow was Highland Park whisky, continuing a long-standing practice at Leask Marine Ltd. Like the company, the renowned distillery is based in Kirkwall, underscoring the strong local roots behind the event.

As the bottle shattered against the hull, guests gathered on the quayside were treated to the whisky’s distinctive fruity and floral aromas, adding a characteristically Orcadian touch to the proceedings.

C-Trojan was named by Karen Leask, wife of Leask Marine CEO and founder Douglas Leask. The name reflects the vessel’s role as a versatile and dependable workhorse within the fleet.

Measuring 30.17m, C-Trojan is a Damen Multicat 3113 DP1 vessel designed for multipurpose roles across a wide range of operating environments. The new Multicat strengthens Leask Marine’s capability to support complex marine operations.
