Six high-spec CSOVs acquired from Edda Wind double Norwind Offshore’s fleet
Norway-based Norwind Offshore today announced a major fleet expansion through the acquisition of six commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) from Edda Wind. The transaction was completed in partnership with Navigare Capital Partners. The acquisition doubles Norwind Offshore’s fleet and marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy within the offshore wind sector.
The newly added commissioning service operation vessels have either recently been delivered from the shipyard within the past year or are in the final stages of delivery, ensuring they are equipped with the latest technology and operational capabilities. These CSOVs, featuring the advanced Vard 4 25 and SALT 0217 designs, are purpose-built to serve the global offshore wind industry and support the development of renewable energy projects worldwide.
Along with the vessels included in the transaction, a team of highly skilled crew will also follow. Their expertise and professionalism will ensure a smooth transition and continued operational excellence.
“This transaction marks a significant step forward for Norwind Offshore. It is not just about the scale – it is about readiness. By adding these modern tonnages to our fleet, we strengthen our platform and ability to better support our customers and the offshore wind market in general.” Said CEO, Svein Leon Aure.
Stig Duus Enslev, founding partner of Navigare Capital, comments: “We would like to thank all who made this acquisition possible, the largest transaction that Navigare Capital has ever made. Our continued belief in the offshore wind market is unwavering, and we look forward to deepening our cooperation with Norwind Offshore as we jointly support the effort of energy transition.”
