Ocean Safety are specialists in the worldwide supply, distribution, service and hire of marine safety equipment while Typhoon International is a world leader in drysuits and protective marine clothing. The two companies will present a wide range of equipment designed to protect personnel working in offshore environments. Examples include the Typhoon Wind WOSS (Water Operation Safety Suit) Drysuit, the constant wear drysuit for harsh marine working environments, designed specifically to be worn for long periods. From the Ocean Safety range comes the Petzl Volt Wind Fall Arrest Harness and Petzl Vertex Vent Comfort Helmet. The anatomical design of the harness with its wide, semi rigid waistbelt ensures it is comfortable to wear throughout the working day. The Petzl Helmet is comfortable while close fitting, thanks to its six-point textile suspension and can be used with a headlamp, hearing protection and multiple accessories. Ocean Safety is also showing the Ocean Signal M100 personal locator beacon which can be fitted to a life jacket or immersion suit and automatically activate on inflation of the jacket or on submersion. The M100 transmits an alert to all AIS receivers and AIS enabled plotters in the vicinity. Lifejackets on display will include the Challenger Worksafe Pro 300, an advanced slim-fit jacket, which has a highly buoyant 330N rating which means that the wearer can be kept afloat even if they are wearing heavy clothing or carrying tools. Ocean Safety have also put together their customised Turbine Survival Kit, a bespoke kit which supports personnel abandoned on a wind farm in severe weather, and include food, sleeping bags and other essential equipment. Ocean Safety and Typhoon’s teams of experts will be on the stand throughout the two-day show to provide consultancy and product information.
