Replacement action: defective AlphaRiverpilot MF hall sensors

Alphatron Marine and its supplier EBF would like to warn you about a possible defect in the hall sensor (potentiometer) in the tiller of the AlphaRiverPilot MF. As a result, you may encounter a fixed tiller. Although the change of getting stuck is extremely small, we still want to make an adjustment as a precaution.

The warning applies to the tiller units of the AlphaRiverPilot MF with serial numbers 584 to 1017. These were delivered in the period from 2014 to 2020. It only concerns the tiller unit of the AlphaRiverPilot MF, other models of autopilots do not have this type of sensor.

Trade-in procedure

If you have an AlphaRiverPilot MF within the above serial number range, we recommend that you have the relevant hall sensor replaced under warranty. Alphatron Marine will provide a replacement sensor for this. To replace the hall sensor, please contact the Warranty Department of Alphatron Marine via warranty@alphatronmarine.com or one of the dealers in the Alphatron Marine Inland network (who have been informed).

Our apologies for the inconvenience.
