Irish pilot boat builder Safehaven Marine has secured a repeat order from DP World for an 18m Interceptor Pilot 60 pilot boat for operations in the Gulf region.
The order will bring to four the number of Pilot 60 vessels supplied by Safehaven Marine to DP World in the Gulf, which Three vessels were delivered in 2025 and have been operating successfully in the region for the past 18 months. It will also become the eighth pilot boat Safehaven Marine has supplied for DP World operations worldwide and the company’s 71st pilot boat.
The contract further strengthens Safehaven Marine’s long-standing relationship with DP World and P&O Maritime, which dates back to 2013 with the delivery of the company’s first pilot vessel to the group.
DP World operates across more than 80 countries, with a network of over 60 ports and terminals spanning six continents. Through its ports, terminals, logistics and marine services, the company plays a key role in global trade, handling approximately 10% of worldwide trade.
