Sixth EasyMax Vessel Ariane Handed Over to Wagenborg

Newbuild Ariane strengthens Wagenborg’s modern, fuel-efficient fleet

Dutch shipbuilder Royal Niestern Sander has handed over yard number 855 to Wagenborg, marking the delivery of the sixth vessel in the EasyMax series, m.v. Ariane. The vessel will enter service, underlining Wagenborg’s continued commitment to fleet renewal and modernisation.

The 14,000 dwt multipurpose EasyMax vessel recently completed a successful round of sea trials, confirming her operational readiness. Over the coming days, the crew will undertake final preparations ahead of Ariane’s maiden voyage to Hamburg, where she is expected to commence commercial operations.

EasyMax concept

The EasyMax concept is a multi-purpose vessel with a cargo capacity of 14,000 tons and was jointly developed by Wagenborg and Niestern Sander. Wagenborg was awarded the KVNR Maritime Shipping Award in 2017 for this ship design, partly due to its superior fuel efficiency. The Egbert Wagenborg and Máxima have more than proven themselves as sustainable and successful ship types and, together with her future sisters, will continue to contribute to Wagenborg Shipping’s position as a leading multipurpose shipping company.
