Solideon and ACUA Ocean Partner On Scalable Dual-Use Manufacturing

Solideon, a pioneer in autonomous advanced manufacturing, and ACUA Ocean, a British leader in offshore and subsea innovation, announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaboration is designed to jointly address the urgent global challenge of scalable, dual-use production, merging cutting-edge manufacturing with next-generation maritime technology.

Solideon and ACUA Ocean Sign Strategic MOU to Accelerate AUKUS-Aligned Dual-Use Manufacturing Innovation

“As global threats evolve, so must our ability to build at speed,” said Mike Tinmouth, Co-Founder and COO of ACUA Ocean. “We can no longer afford 18-month production cycles for systems that go obsolete in three. Like the Liberty Ships of WWII, we must prepare to manufacture at the speed of relevance, and that’s exactly what this partnership makes possible.”

By integrating Solideon’s AI-driven robotic assembly platform with ACUA’s deep expertise in subsea and offshore infrastructure, the companies will create the framework for rapidly deployable, reconfigurable manufacturing cells. Together, Solideon and ACUA aim to combine British ingenuity and American engineering to establish a new standard in defense and industrial resilience.

“We’re not just building tech,” said Oluseun Taiwo, Founder and CEO of Solideon. “We’re building a system to build any tech wherever it’s needed. Whether it’s for national security, renewable energy, or emergency logistics, this partnership embodies the kind of adaptable, dual-use capability the future world needs.”

The agreement outlines plans for a technical demonstration of Solideon’s autonomous manufacturing cells adapted for maritime and austere environments, as well as joint commercialization efforts spanning the U.S. and the U.K. It includes the co-development of design-to-deployment workflows and printable blueprints for fast-turnaround builds, what the teams call “robots building robots.”

Aligned with the objectives of AUKUS Pillar II, this partnership is not just about responding to today’s defense needs but also about anticipating tomorrow’s global challenges. From scalable production to offshore infrastructure, Solideon and ACUA are creating a manufacturing model that adapts in real-time, applies across sectors, and deploys anywhere from shipyards to forward bases. This MOU marks the beginning of a shared mission: to ensure allied readiness is never outpaced by innovation but driven by it.

In an era where conflict can shift rapidly and redundancy undermines readiness, this collaboration presents a new path forward: one where the industrial base isn’t just ready for the future but can also be built on demand.
