Teknotherm’s HVAC system for new Ocean Energy Support Vessel

Teknotherm announce they are equipping a state-of-the-art Ocean Energy Support Vessel (OESV), under construction at Gondan Shipbuilders for Østensjø Rederi, with the most advanced HVAC system in the company’s history.

This cutting-edge HVAC system is designed to meet the highest standards of performance, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability, ensuring optimal onboard climate conditions for both crew and equipment.

In addition to a full Thermal Energy Management system (TEMS), including heat pump function and absorption chiller, we will also deliver a full Cabin Management System.

The Cabin Management System will give full individual control for each cabin based on their status (occupied, booked but not occupied or not booked), a system that is currently tested as a mock-up at our office in Bergen. For a multipurpose vessel like this Ocean Energy Support Vessel, with a large accommodation, the HVAC/Refrigeration solutions will give significant energy saving and increasing individual comfort level in each cabin.

This project continues Teknotherm’s strong relationship with Gondan Shipbuilders, Salt Ship Design, and Østensjø Rederi, marking a significant step forward in energy-efficient maritime solutions.
