Van Wijngaarden Marine Services and Kooiman Marine Group today announced the signing of a Letter of Intent for the design and construction of a cutting-edge DP2 Multi-Purpose Vessel (MPV 4716). This agreement marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainable and versatile maritime operations.
The new vessel, designed by Kooiman Marine Group and built to the highest technical standards, will integrate diesel-electric/hybrid propulsion and meet stringent IMO Tier III emissions regulations, and Ultra Low Emission Vessel (ULEV) compliance. This commitment underscores both companies’ dedication to environmental stewardship and operational efficiency.
DP2 Multi Purpose Vessel Highlights:
- Length: 47.00 meters | Beam: 16.00 meters | Draft: 2.60 meters
- DP2 class with hybrid diesel-electric propulsion
- Deck equipment:
2 deck cranes (17 ton at 21 meters outreach),
tow/AH winch (50/220 ton pull, 250/250 ton hold) - Accommodation: 27 crew (13 single and 7 double cabins)
