World’s Largest 3D Printed Ferry Made with Post-Consumer Waste: A Remarkable Collaboration Achieved by Holland Shipyards Group, Roboat and 10XL

Just two months ago, a remarkable collaboration between Holland Shipyards Group, Roboat, and 10XL gave rise to an extraordinary achievement: the world’s largest 3D print made with post-consumer waste, measuring an impressive 9 x 4 meters.

This feat was no small endeavor. It drew upon extensive knowledge, honed expertise, and cutting-edge technology. The proprietary customized slicer played a crucial role, as did the deep understanding of materials and finely-honed printing skills.

What truly stands out in this journey is the seamless collaboration between Holland Shipyards Group and 10XL, a partnership rooted in the heart of the Dutch shipbuilding industry. This milestone not only sets a new benchmark but also lays a strong foundation for future projects. The scope is expanding, with visions of larger, more ambitious, and enhanced endeavors on the horizon.

The new Autonomous ferry will operate on the river Seine, connecting the Athlete’s Village site with the island of L’Île-Saint-Denis during the summer of 2024. This means that in just a few months, this ferry will be built, tested, and shipped to France. The exciting challenge is being faced with partners Holland Shipyards Group, Roboat and the Parisian operator SEQUANA DEVELOPPEMENT.
