Cyan Partners with Remota and Moen Marin to Pioneer Autonomous ePatrol Vessels

Cyan Renewables, an innovator in sustainable maritime technology, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Remota and Moen Marin to develop next-generation electric patrol (ePatrol) craft with autonomous capabilities. This collaboration aligns with Singapore’s national climate goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, positioning the city-state as a leader in green maritime innovation.

Their commitment to safety, reliability and maintenance efficiency is paramount in this development of ePatrol craft. Its state-of-the-art design will feature advanced safety systems based on proven technology with readily available spare parts and expert maintenance. Their strategic approach will reduce lifecycle costs, enhance operational readiness and ensure the ePatrol craft consistently meets the rigorous demands of maritime security and patrol duties.

With Moen Marin’s expertise in developing high-quality vessels and Remota’s specialisation in remote operations through Remote Operation Centers (ROC), this consortium is poised to lead the development and adoption of electric patrol crafts, not just in Singapore, but across the region.

Mr. Keng Lin Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Cyan Renewables said: “At Cyan Renewables, sustainability is at the core of our purpose. This partnership with Moen Marin and Remota marks a significant step forward in our commitment to revolutionising the maritime industry with cleaner, greener solutions. By collaborating with these leading organisations, we are excited to be setting a new benchmark for sustainable marine operations, paving the way for a more energy efficient future.”

Mariell Ulla Toven, Chief Business Development Officer of Moen Marin said: “At Moen Marin, we are proud to contribute our experience from almost 300 vessels and especially the electric, to this groundbreaking project. Collaborating with Cyan Renewables and Remota allows us to push boundaries and accelerate the transition to zero-emission, autonomous maritime solutions. Together, we are shaping the future of safe, efficient, and sustainable maritime operations — in Singapore and beyond.”

Sveinung Soma, CEO of Remota said, “This collaboration marks a breakthrough in maritime innovation, combining Remota’s expertise in remote operations with Cyan Renewables and Moen Marin. By integrating autonomous and all-electric solutions, we are not only enhancing operational efficiency but also accelerating the industry’s transition towards a sustainable future. We are excited to be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of maritime security and offshore support.”

What makes this ePatrol craft revolutionary?

  • Proven Hull Form Design: Built on a reliable and operational design.
  • All-Electric Technology: Powered by proven electric systems already deployed in approximately 100 small crafts.
