ExploMar, China’s pioneering high-power electric outboard systems manufacturer, and Aqua superPower, the world’s first global marine fast-charging network, are proud to announce a landmark partnership. ExploMar’s cutting-edge electric outboards are now fully compatible with Aqua superPower’s fast-charging network, marking a significant leap forward in sustainable marine mobility.
This collaboration leverages Aqua superPower’s cutting-edge charging infrastructure and ExploMar’s advanced electric outboard systems to accelerate the global adoption of sustainable marine mobility. As electric boating gains traction worldwide, the challenge of integrating high-performance propulsion with reliable, fast-charging infrastructure has been a critical hurdle. Aqua superPower, with its growing network of 59 marine-specific charging sites across North America and Europe, is at the forefront of solving this challenge by providing marinized, high-power DC fast chargers (up to 250 kW) and a cloud-based platform for seamless operation.
This OEM partnership ensures that ExploMar’s innovative high performance outboard systems, including the WAVE 300, WAVE 150+, and WAVE 70+, as well as its SUPER/ISLAND Battery Platform and HEDB semi-solid battery, are fully compatible with Aqua superPower’s infrastructure, delivering a plug-and-play charging experience that enhances user convenience and operational efficiency.
The collaboration has already demonstrated its potential at key industry events. At Salone Nautico Venezia 2025, ExploMar’s 300 hp outboard system was powered by Aqua superPower’s 75 kW DC charger, showcasing seamless compatibility. Similarly, at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2025, ExploMar’s 300 hp outboard system was rapidly charged using Aqua superPower’s 200 kW ultra-fast DC station, proving reliability under high-performance conditions.
These successes highlight the prospect how Aqua superPower’s infrastructure empowers ExploMar’s customers—whether in leisure boating, water sports, commercial vessels, passenger transport, or aquaculture—with fast, reliable charging that minimizes downtime and maximizes range.
“At Aqua superPower, we’re committed to collaborating closely with OEMs to create a robust, marine-specific charging ecosystem that powers the future of electric boating,” said Karen Gill, COO of Aqua superPower. “Our partnership with ExploMar ensures their customers enjoy a seamless, user-friendly charging experience, backed by our global network and 24/7 support. By integrating ExploMar’s high-performance outboards with our scalable infrastructure, we’re accelerating decarbonization and making sustainable marine mobility accessible to all.”
ExploMar’s SUPER/ISLAND Battery Platform exceeds the 200 km range threshold through scalable modular configurations of up to 1,080 kWh. When integrated with Aqua superPower’s high-speed charging infrastructure, operational range can be efficiently extended during short layovers. The network’s use of the Combined Charging System (CCS) protocol ensures compatibility, enabling real-time monitoring of battery metrics like temperature and state of charge for enhanced safety and performance. This integration creates a cohesive ecosystem that reduces range anxiety and supports diverse applications, from eco-tourism to high-frequency commercial operations.
“At ExploMar, we believe the future of boating is electric — and not just in terms of propulsion, but the entire user ecosystem. Working with Aqua superPower ensures our users enjoy a truly seamless and reliable electric boating experience.” said Jonathan Wang, Sales Director of ExploMar.
This partnership aligns with both companies’ missions to advance decarbonization, enhance energy efficiency, and lower operational costs. By combining ExploMar’s cutting-edge propulsion technology with Aqua superPower’s global charging network, the collaboration paves the way for a sustainable future in marine transportation, benefiting operators, boaters, and the environment alike.
