ExploMar, a specialist in high-performance electric outboard motors and marine electrification, will showcase its advanced electric propulsion solutions at METSTRADE. The company will exhibit in Hall 5 and in the Next-Generation Propulsion Area in Hall 13, presenting its powerful electric outboard motor systems and the cutting-edge technologies behind them to a global audience.
Over the past year, leveraging its worldwide dealer network, ExploMar has successfully delivered high-performance electric outboard systems in countries like Nigeria, Thailand, and China, covering a wide range of applications such as fishing boats, tourism boats, and public ferries. This marks a steady global rollout of the company’s solutions for high-performance electric water mobility. ExploMar is also expanding deliveries to the European market, South America, and Asia, accelerating the adoption and deployment of electric marine propulsion worldwide.
In Nigeria, Caverton Marine, ExploMar’s partner and boat builder focused on promoting sustainable water transport, has developed the OMIBUS, a 12-meter, 28-seat fully electric ferry. This innovative vessel is equipped with dual WAVE 300 electric outboards and two HEDB 125kWh batteries. It boasts a maximum speed of 32 knots and offers a travel range of 3 to 4 hours at cruising speed. With fast charging capabilities and reliable performance in challenging water conditions, the OMIBUS showcases the adaptability and dependability of ExploMar’s high-power electric propulsion system, setting a new benchmark for sustainable water transportation in Africa.
In Thailand, the local dealer THAI MARITEC equipped a 12-meter fiberglass speedboat (20 passengers) with a WAVE 150 + twin electric outboard system and two SI-90 Super / Island batteries (180 kWh in total), successfully completing its sea trial. The vessel demonstrated excellent power and silent operation, offering a leading green propulsion solution for the local leisure and tourism boat market.
In China, ExploMar successfully delivered a WAVE 300 electric outboard and SI-180 Super/Island batteries to a private user for his 9-meter electric fishing boat. The boat completed its sea trial and official delivery, reaching a top speed of 32 knots (around 58 km/h) and offering 3–4 hours of combined cruising range, demonstrating the balance between performance and environmental sustainability.
Looking ahead, ExploMar will continue to focus on reliable, high-performance electric outboard systems, deepen the global market presence, and promote electrification across diverse boat types and applications. The company will accelerate the development of its global sales and service network, empower overseas partners, and jointly build a sustainable, high-performance sustainable mobility ecosystem, accelerating the green transformation of global water transportation.
