The FRS Iberia shipping company has announced the acquisition of a fast catamaran ferry , built in 2015 at the Australian shipyards Incat, in Tasmania, specialized in this type of vessel. This ship, which will be renamed Levante Jet , belonged to the Japanese company Sado Kisen. It will be transferred to Spain from Japan and will arrive at the port of Algeciras in August, where it will be conditioned and painted with the new FRS corporate identity.

The future Levante Jet is a fast catamaran of 85 meters in length, with an aluminum hull and that reaches a speed of up to 40 knots. It has capacity for 692 passengers and 151 cars or 330 linear meters of cargo. In addition, it will have cafeteria services, a shop, Wi-Fi, a children’s area and a pet area, among other spaces.

This new acquisition of FRS is part of its expansion strategy. The CEO of FRS Iberia, Ronny Moriana, has shown his great satisfaction with this acquisition “which reinforces the commitment we have with our clients.”
