Twin vessel deliveries mark another milestone in Norwind Offshore’s fleet expansion, with both CSOVs commencing commercial operations immediately
Norwegian offshore vessel owner and operator Norwind Offshore has strengthened its offshore wind fleet with the delivery of two new Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs), Norwind Mistral and Norwind Sirocco.
Norwind Mistral was delivered by Vard Brattvaag on 7 July, followed by Norwind Sirocco on 16 July, marking another key milestone in the company’s fleet expansion strategy.
Both CSOVs were developed by Vard Design in Ålesund and will enter commercial service immediately following delivery, commencing operations under existing contracts.
Purpose-built for the offshore wind sector, the vessels provide safe, efficient, and flexible support throughout the commissioning, operation, and maintenance phases of offshore wind farms.
The vessels’ hulls were built and outfitted at Vard Braila in Romania, before being completed and delivered at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.
Equipped with advanced technology, Norwind Mistral and Norwind Sirocco are designed with a strong focus on operational efficiency, sustainability, safety, and onboard comfort.
With 101 cabins and a total capacity of up to 120 persons on board (POB), the vessels provide excellent accommodation capacity and are optimized to support efficient and comfortable offshore operations.
The delivery of Norwind Mistral and Norwind Sirocco further strengthens Norwind Offshore’s modern fleet and reinforces our commitment to providing reliable, high-quality maritime services to the renewable energy industry.
