PALFINGER MARINE launches new heavy-duty foldable knuckle boom crane

PALFINGER MARINE launches a new heavy-duty foldable knuckle boom crane at SMM, that is equipped with PALFINGER’s patented P-Profile. The new PFM 2100 combines a strong lifting capacity with a wider outreach and convinces with a high level of performance. It is a prime example of efficient marine technology.

The P-Profile provides an excellent lifting performance while keeping the crane as lightweight as possible, enabling its impressive outreach and high working speeds. Its advantages are now also being applied to marine cranes for the first time, specifically for the PFM 2100. The new heavy-duty foldable knuckle boom crane has been specially developed for use on service and work boats as well as in the aquaculture industry.

The PFM 2100 has nine boom extensions, offering an outreach of up to 29 meters. At this maximum outreach, the PFM 2100 provides a load capacity of over 4,000 kilos – which is clearly superior to any competitor product on the market. Additionally, the PFM 2100 features a high-end flow control valve, enabling the simultaneous use of multiple hydraulic functions and facilitating swifter, smoother, and more accurate crane movements. The crane also impresses with its lightweight and compact design, which ultimately saves deck space. Following an intensive test phase with the PFM 2100 prototype including a lifetime endurance test, PALFINGER MARINE received the first orders even before the crane had been officially launched.

PALFINGER MARINE is constantly developing stronger, smarter and more specialized equipment. “We see a growing demand for larger cranes with greater outreach and we are proud to be once again using our expertise to set the standard in the field of marine technology,” says Johannes Nußbaumer, Global Product Manager Marine & Wind Cranes at PALFINGER MARINE.
