PaxOcean Sign Contracts for Ten Multi-Purpose Service Vessels

PaxOcean Group announce, the signing of a newbuilding contract with a prominent Greek shipowner on 11 September 2024. This significant agreement marks a pivotal moment for both companies, highlighting their commitment to innovation and excellence in offshore vessel construction.

Under the terms of the contract, PaxOcean will construct up to ten (10) Multi-Purpose Service Vessels (MPSVs), each boasting a 5,000 DWT capacity and equipped with DP2 dynamic positioning technology. These advanced vessels are designed to meet the increasing demands of the offshore sector, incorporating the latest technological advancements to ensure superior performance, safety, and fuel efficiency.

The Multi-Purpose Service Vessels will be built at PaxOcean’s Zhoushan yard in China, with deliveries scheduled to commence from the third quarter of 2026. The vessels will be designed by Salt Ship Design of Norway, recognised for their modern, innovative approach to vessel design. The vessels will set a new industry benchmark for fuel efficiency, ensuring both environmental sustainability and operational cost savings for the owner.

This contract further solidifies PaxOcean’s position as a leader in the global shipbuilding industry, known for delivering high-quality vessels that meet the evolving needs of the maritime and offshore sectors.
