Servogear Ecoflow Selected for Chartwell Brevity CTV

The new Chartwell Brevity B1 CTV will be equipped with twin Servogear Ecoflow systems and variable-pitch propulsion

Servogear AS has secured a contract to supply two Ecoflow propulsion systems for a new 26-metre Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) being built by Diverse Marine Ltd at its shipyard in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK. The vessel is based on the Chartwell Brevity B1 design developed by Chartwell Marine Ltd and is scheduled for delivery in 2027.

The new CTV will be equipped with Servogear HD295U gearboxes and 1,225mm variable-pitch propellers as part of the Ecoflow propulsion package.

The propulsion system has been selected to provide efficient and reliable performance in the demanding operating conditions associated with offshore wind farm servicing and maintenance.

The vessel will support offshore wind operations, where propulsion efficiency, reliability and manoeuvrability are important factors in maintaining safe and productive operations.

Under the contract, Servogear will supply:

  • Two Servogear Ecoflow propulsion systems
  • Two HD295U gearboxes
  • Two 1,225mm variable-pitch propellers

“We greatly appreciate the opportunity to be part of this project. The Chartwell Brevity is a proven design, and we believe our propulsion solution is a good fit for the vessel’s operational needs. We look forward to working with Diverse Marine towards delivery.” – Svein Helge Natterøy, Sales Manager, Servogear AS
