Smartgyro Appoints Mulder Motoren as Netherlands Dealer

New partnership with experienced engine specialist will ensure strengthened distribution and service for innovative SG series of gyro units in the Dutch leisure and commercial sectors

Gyroscopic stabilization technology specialist Smartgyro has announced the appointment of Mulder Motoren B.V. as its dealer in the Netherlands.

Mulder Motoren, a worldwide supplier and service provider of engines and engine components, will immediately enhance its delivery program with the innovative SG series of stabilization solutions.

Capitalizing on Mulder Motoren’s relevant expertise and wide customer base in the country, the new partnership will ensure the features and benefits of the Smartgyro units will be readily available as an option for key OEMs, boatbuilders, operators and owners in the Dutch leisure and commercial sectors where demand for onboard comfort is growing.

Mulder Motoren will focus on supplying the Smartgyro range, including the SG40, SG80 and new SG20 models, for marine leisure and commercial vessels, while also providing expert technical support through service and maintenance.

The compatibility and synergies strengthening the collaboration include close affiliation to engine and propulsion systems specialist YANMAR, with Smartgyro strategically backed by the company and Mulder Motoren in an established partnership with Diesel Parts Europe, a YANMAR parts distributor.

Pieter Feenstra, Sales Director North-Europe, APAC and America, said: “We are delighted to confirm that Mulder Motoren is the latest dealer in our growing worldwide network. The company is highly experienced in its field, with an excellent network and broad range of established clients. Due to the alignment in our companies’ business operations, target markets and philosophy to bring ease of use to customers, I am confident that Smartgyro’s reach in the Netherlands will be strengthened and awareness about our units will continue to grow.”

Ideal for both leisure boat owners and light duty commercial vessels, the Smartgyro SG series of gyro stabilizers offers unique features which enhance the onboard experience with efficient roll reduction, while also ensuring easy installation and minimal maintenance to increase time spent out on the water.

Featuring a modular mechanical design, the compact Smartgyro stabilizers can be assembled directly inside the boat, creating new design opportunities for builders and increasing the potential for installation in vessels with small access spaces. The SG range also features design innovations within the control electronics, braking system, cooling system and vacuum enclosure to maximize roll reduction and efficiency.

Jaco Meijboom, Manager, Mulder Motoren, said: “We are very excited about the new partnership with Smartgyro as the units fit seamlessly with our focus market and allow us to broaden our product range in line with our business operations. For supply and service to OEMs, shipping companies and end users, we see the units as an ideal solution to meet strong demand for comfort, improved onboard experience and ease of use in both the leisure and commercial sectors. There are several advantages with the Smartgyro stabilizers, but the ease and speed of maintenance and increase in up-time is very important for our customers.”

Mulder Motoren is exhibiting at Europort in Hall 1, Booth 1431, from 2nd to 5th November, where it will represent Smartgyro for the first time.
